Minah Kim is from South Korea where she received her B.F.A. at Ewha Womans University. Minah's practice is based on the transnational feminist perspective tackling boundaries of perception and limitation of the language from her own personal awareness and experience. Ceramic and sound are tactile and visceral material she mainly uses to question about the internalized memory, culture, and system through spatial installation. Minah showed her pieces internationally and nationally including Asia Contemporary Art show, China, The Clay Studio, PA, District Clay Gallery in D.C., Frankfurt Herbstmesse, Germany, and many others in South Korea as well as completed several artist residencies. Minah aims to facilitate her artistic conversation in a diverse spectrum as a thinker, educator, writer, and speaker for diversity.
